Web designer in Sydney.
This is where it all started. I am Sydney born and Sydney based, building hand-coded websites for trades and small businesses right across the city, from the eastern beaches to the greater west. The work now runs Australia-wide, but Sydney is home, and a lot of my best evidence is right here.
A local who actually knows the market.
Sydney is a crowded, design-aware market. Your customers compare you to slick brands on the same phone screen all day, so a tired or templated site quietly costs you the call. I hand-code each site to look the part, load in under a second, and rank for the suburbs you actually work in. A plumber chasing jobs in the inner west and a bathroom renovator quoting on the north shore are not after the same customer, and they should not be stuck with the same generic template either.
There is no glass office in the CBD here, and that is the point. The agency overhead a city address would add never touches your quote. You get a fast, hand-coded site, no monthly platform fees, and full ownership of every file. We deal directly, from the first sketch to the day it goes live, with no account managers in between.
The pattern across Sydney is the same one I see everywhere: the work is excellent, but the website does not say so, and the better-marketed competitor takes the call. Most of those searches happen on a phone, mid-job or after hours, so the site has to load instantly and make the next step obvious. Getting that right is part build and part local SEO, with a tidy Google Business Profile doing a lot of the heavy lifting in the map results.
Web design, suburb by suburb.
Each page is written for that pocket of Sydney, not stamped from a template. Find yours below.
Made for Sydney service businesses.
Most of my work is for trades and service businesses. If your customers find you on Google, a hand-coded site earns its keep.
Sydney web design questions
Do you meet Sydney clients in person?
I can. I am Sydney born and based, so a coffee to kick a project off is no trouble. That said, most of my Sydney clients are happy to run the whole thing over email and a call or two, which keeps it quick and keeps the price down. Whatever suits you.
How much does a website cost for a Sydney business?
Builds start from $2,450 for a sharp one-page site and run to around $11,500 for a full premium build, all owned outright with no monthly platform rent. You get a city-grade site without the CBD agency markup, because there is no glass office loaded into your quote.
Can you help my business rank for my Sydney suburb?
Yes. That is the heart of local SEO: a genuine page for each area you work, fast load times, structured data, and a complete Google Business Profile so you turn up in the map pack when someone nearby searches your trade. It is exactly how the Patrick James suburb pages rank.
Do you only build websites for tradies?
Trades and service businesses are most of my work, but not all of it. If your customers find you on Google and you want a fast site you own outright, I can help, whatever the trade.

My flagship build is a Sydney job: Patrick James Bathrooms, one of the city's most established renovators. A full rebuild, a live cost calculator, and suburb pages that genuinely rank.
Have a look at the Patrick James Bathrooms case study, or read why it pays to own your website instead of renting one. The same approach covers the wider state through New South Wales, and you are always dealing directly with the Sydney web designer behind it all.
