Back home SEO & local search

Get found on Google.

A beautiful website nobody can find is a very expensive business card. I build SEO into every site from the first line: the technical foundations, the local search, and the pages that answer what your customers actually type. So the right people find you, then call you.

Most of your customers start on Google.

When someone needs a plumber, an electrician or a bathroom renovated, they do the same thing: they search, then they tap one of the first few results. If you are not there, the job goes to whoever is. It is that blunt.

SEO is not magic and it is not a trick. It is making your site easy for Google to read, fast for people to use, and clearly the best answer to what they searched. Do that honestly and consistently, and you climb. I build all three into the site itself rather than selling it back to you as a forever subscription.

The whole picture, not just keywords.

Real SEO is a stack of small, correct decisions. Here is the work, the same work behind every site I ship.

01
Technical SEO
Clean, crawlable HTML, correct headings, sitemaps and robots, canonical tags and tidy URLs. The plumbing that lets Google index every page properly.
02
Local & map pack
Suburb landing pages, consistent business details and a tuned Google Business Profile so you show up when someone nearby searches for what you do.
03
On-page SEO
Titles, descriptions and content written for the words real customers use, mapped one clear page to one clear search, with no thin or duplicate filler.
04
Core Web Vitals
Sub-second loads, optimised AVIF and WebP images and zero layout shift. Speed is a ranking factor and a sales factor, so I treat it as both.
05
Structured data
Schema for your business, services, reviews and FAQs, so Google understands you and your listings can earn rich results, stars and answer boxes.
06
Tracking & reporting
Search Console and analytics set up properly, then a plain-English read on what is moving and what to do next. No 40-page PDF nobody opens.

Foundations first, then momentum.

No smoke, no monthly mystery. Four stages, from where you stand today to a site that keeps climbing.

01 · Audit

Find out where you stand

I run your site through the same Google checks the pros use and read the result in plain English: what is slow, what is missing, and what is quietly costing you ranking right now.

02 · Fix the foundations

Make it fast and readable

Speed, structure, headings, schema and the technical basics get sorted first. There is no point chasing keywords on a site Google struggles to load or understand.

03 · Build the pages

One page per thing you want

A clear page for each service and each area you serve, written for how customers actually search. This is what wins local searches and brings the phone calls.

04 · Track & refine

Watch it, then improve it

With Search Console and analytics in place, we see what is landing and double down. SEO is a flywheel, not a one-off, and small monthly nudges keep it turning.

Most jobs come from "near me".

For a local business, the gold is the map pack: the three listings with the little map that sit above everything else. Land there and you are the obvious choice before a customer has even scrolled.

Getting there is suburb pages, a polished Google Business Profile and your name, address and phone number matching everywhere they appear. I handle all of it as one joined-up job.

google.com / plumber near me
<!-- the map pack: top 3, above everything -->
1. Your Business ★ 5.0 (24)
2. A competitor ★ 4.6 (11)
3. Another one ★ 4.4 (8)
   ...everyone else scrolls for.

Illustrative. The goal is simple: be one of the three.

This is not theory. It ranks.

The site I built for Patrick James Bathrooms ships with 24 written suburb pages, full structured data and sub-second loads. In Patrick's words, customers tell him they found the business on Google. That is the whole point.

How long does SEO take to work?

Technical fixes and a faster site can show up in weeks. Ranking for competitive local searches is usually a few months of steady work: pages, structured data and a tidy Google Business Profile all pulling together. Anyone promising page one next week is guessing.

Do I have to pay every month for SEO?

No. Strong on-page and technical SEO is built into every site I make, as a one-off. Ongoing work like new suburb pages, content and monitoring is optional and month to month, and you can stop any time. You are never locked in.

Can you do SEO on a website you did not build?

Often yes. I start with a free audit to see what the site is made of. If it is a lean site I can improve it directly. If it is a heavy builder template fighting you on speed, I will tell you honestly whether a fix or a rebuild is the better spend.

What is local SEO and do I need it?

Local SEO is how you show up when someone nearby searches for what you do, like plumber Parramatta or bathroom renovation Bondi. For any business that serves an area, it is where most of the work comes from. It combines suburb pages, a strong Google Business Profile and consistent business details across the web.

How is this different from an SEO agency?

You deal with the person doing the work, not an account manager and a monthly retainer for a report you cannot read. I build SEO into fast, hand-coded pages from the first line, explain what I am doing in plain English, and you own everything at the end.
