Get more enquiries.

A website that looks great but never rings the phone is just an expensive business card. Here is how to turn visitors into actual enquiries, none of it sneaky.

This is not about clever tricks or pop-ups that chase you round the screen. It is about removing every small reason a ready-to-call visitor decides not to bother.

Make the phone number impossible to miss

For most trades the phone is still how people book. Put your number in the top corner on every page, make it tappable on a mobile so one touch dials it, and do not bury it in a footer nobody scrolls to. Sounds obvious. Half the sites I audit get it wrong.

One clear next step per page

Every page should make the one thing you want the visitor to do dead obvious, whether that is call, fill the form, or get a quote. Offer five equal options and most people freeze and pick none. Decide the next step for them and point straight at it.

A form that does not ask for the world

Name, a contact, and a short message is plenty to start a conversation. Every extra field, every "company name" and "how did you hear about us", costs you a few more people who give up halfway. Ask the rest once they have replied. Get the conversation started first.

Speed and trust do the quiet work

The fastest way to lose an enquiry is a page that makes someone wait, because they are gone before they ever see your form. A quick site, real photos of your work, and a few genuine reviews near the call button do more for your enquiry rate than any clever wording. Not sure how fast yours is? My free website audit checks it in about 30 seconds, and why speed wins jobs explains why it matters so much.

Show you are real

A face, a name, a local area, an ABN. The small proofs that you are a real person who will actually turn up reassure a stranger more than any slogan. People hire people they trust, and trust is built from these little signals scattered across the page.
